COMPANY UPDATES
SEPTEMBER 2015
10th September
Today we collectively came up with the name for ur group. We chose 'cloud productions' as we thought this would be the most appropiate and sound profesional. It is also a quick,catchy and memorable name. From this we were able to create our website using 'wix.com', we filled in the basics and started uploading previous work from our documents.
15th September
Today we began to discuss which subgenre we would like to focus on, we was all drawn to both subgenres of slasher and supernatural. We discussed several different storylines and gathered this information in notes.
20th September
During todays lesson we all decided as a group on our storyline and began to create a treatment for our story.
29th September
We have created profiles for our main characters for our film trailer and have chosen actresses to play these roles.
OCTOBER 2015
5th October 2015
The Website is all set up, and we are beginning to design it now and make it look professional. we are now moving on to sorting out our treatment and getting our ideas together
11th October 2015
We brainstormed on what horror theme we wanted, choosing our genre was a difficult task therefor we used audience research as evidence to what is popular with teenagers and adults.
13th October 2015
To do the audience research we needed questions to ask our audience. Aswell as this, as a group we still needed to be up to date with some work such as poster analysis due as some of us missed time of school over summer.
NOVEMBER 2015

We analysed our audience research and began to discuss what conventions of our chosen sub-genre 'slasher' we will conform or subvert.
13th November 2015
We brainstormed on what we wanted the plot of our trailer to be and all contributed a variety of ideas
21st November 2015
After deciding our plot we wrote a treatment explaining the plot, characters and narrative.
DECEMBER 2015

We began to draft ideas for our ancillary work. We looked at other horror films/posters to inspire us and to help us follow/subvert conventions.
15th December 2015
We took photos for our film poster of the stalker, the laptop and the stalker board.
JANUARY 2016
8th January 2016
We began to create our film poster using photoshop and also began to photograph the characters for the magazine cover.
15th January 2016
We began to also edit the magazine cover using photoshop, this took alot more attention as we edited each photo together and this brang some difficulties.
25th January 2016
We planned filming dates and created call sheets.
29th January 2016
We made good progresss on the film poster, it was almost complete just need to make final adjustments.
FEBUARY 2016
5th febuary 2016
We completeted our ancillary work and uploaded them to the website and to our instagram acoount for feedback.
10th febuary 2016
We had completed majority of filming and began to plan which shots we want where
24th Febuary 2016
We began to use sony vegas pro 12 to edit our trailer togehter. We started by adding all our shots to a time line.
MARCH 2016
We spent the majority of march creating our trailer, learning how to use the software effectively. We also learnt how to make shots widescreen, how to merge shots and how to add effects to shots E.g. Zoom on the opening estabvlsihing shot.
We also learnt how to add sound and blend sounds to make soft transitions between each sound.
APRIL 2016
By Mid april we had completed our trailer to the standard we are happy with. We then created a youtube account and posted our video to gain views. We also constructed a survey so we could gather post production feedback about our trailer and what our audiences thought about the trailer. We did this using a software called 'surveyplanet'
